Want to use your 1st gen OR 2nd gen iPod Touch with all the cool new mic-enabled apps from the app store? The iVoice III iPod Touch Microphone is your solution! We have personally tested this mic with our 1st and 2nd gen iPod Touches and we can confirm it works great with apps requiring a mic (like Voxie, iTalk and Fring) currently we found that Shazam is not supported for this mic. THERE MAY BE A SMALL NUMBER OF OTHER APPS THAT DON'T RECOGNIZE THIS MIC. We cannot be responsible for new software and apps that may not recognize the mic (although most do).

NOTE: YOU MUST BE RUNNING THE LATEST FIRMWARE, WITH NO JAILBREAK OR MODIFICATIONS TO YOUR TOUCH FOR THE MIC TO FUNCTION. (NOTE: SOME MIC ENABLED APPLICATIONS FROM THE APP STORE WILL NOT ALLOW AN INSTALL ON A 1st GEN iPOD, BUT FOR *MOST* APPS THAT INSTALL THE MIC WILL WORK.)

Otherwise just plug the mic into the dock connector to use. It features a 3.5mm jack to plug in audio input.
