Hi Abhishek - you do not need to jailbreak your first gen if you are running software 2.2. However you can only use the mics that connect through the dock connector, and NOT the audio jack.
Also, some applications on the app store will not install directly on a 1st gen touch, so for those applications you would need to find a way to install on your 1st gen in order to use the mic. For example jailbreaking would do the trick for some of those apps, however we cannot recommend or take responsibility for anything that you decide to do with your iPod Touch, including jailbreaking.
How close (or how loud) does the sound have to be, to be picked by the Macally iVoice III? I’m wondering if it would work for taking voice notes in a meeting … capturing all the discussion in the group. This would be in a typical office space, 6 or 8 people together talking in a natural voice without any lapel mics, etc.
The iVoice III will record a normal conversational voice in an otherwise quiet room from up to 10-12 feet away, so yes the iVoice III would work, however it only records in mono (which is still OK for voice), as opposed to the iVoice PRO which records in stereo. All in all, we have tested it using the voice recording application Voxie in a simulated “office meeting” and the end result was a clear and fully audible recording of our simulated conversation.
The iPod Touch cover… does it protect the front of the iPod also? It looks like it just slips over the back and protects the back from scratches, leaving the front exposed.
The cover does not protect the front of the iPod Touch, only the sides and back. To protect the front you could combine the cover with our screen protector film, which protects the screen from scratches, ect… You get 2 silicone covers and 2 screen protectors in each order.
Do you think the quality of sound delivered by the iVoiceIII or iVoicePro would be good enough to record field interviews for inclusion in podcasts? I would only need mono recording, because I this helps keep the file size down, but do want good sound quality so that audio files sound professional when posted as a podcast.
Yes the quality is good enough for podcasts when using either the iVoice III or iVoicePro. However keep in mind they do not have any windscreen or foams, which are helpful if you are outdoors for example. We are actually working on a small recording mic that will plug into the bottom of the 2nd gen touch audio jack and serve primarily as a voice recording and interview tool. We will also be including a foam/windscreen with it so that there are no pops and minimized background noise. We should have pictures and a description up on our site by end of next week of our new mic (which may best suit your purposes).
I want to use a 2nd gen touch to record lectures. Which mic would be best to use? The MityMic looks like the best solution - any idea when it will be back in stock? Thanks.
I wanted to know, if I get a Macally iVoice III for my 1st gen Touch, is there any voice recording software I can buy in the app store that will install?
I’m sorry—in my previous message I used the name of your company instead of the name of the product I was asking about. It is the HandsFree Lapel Microphone and Adapter. Does the volume control change the volume coming out of the iPod, or does it control a variable resistor within the lapel mic unit?
We cannot recommend jailbreaking as there are unexpected results, but we can confirm that others have has success using the iVoice mics on a jailbroken 1G touch running software version 2.2 or above.
Is there anyway i could connect a mic to my first generation ipod to make it work with skype so that i could make calls and actually talk to the person im calling?
Apologies if this sounds like an obvious question: Will this work with an iPhone 3g? I want to use it as a directional microphone to record Qik and Ustream videos.
You would need to use the iVoiceIII on your 1G Touch for Skype, and you would need a set of regular headphones to listen to the person on the other end.
67 years-old Grandma here with new ITouch 2g that I want to use on wi-fi with Skype. Which of your headsets / buds with mic. have you used or would you recommend? If any have a noise cancel mic that would be great since Starbucks is noisy.
1. The TouchMic iPod Touch Lapel Mic - This mic/adapter combo basically adds a quality microphone to any headset you already may be using, or prefer. So if you have a headset that you really like already, simply use this adapter to add a mic to the wire and you will be all set.
2. The Maximo Isolation in-ear buds- This set of earphones has a high-quality condenser mic built in onto the wire and is paired with a high-def set of in-ear buds (the “in-ears” are great if you need to cancel out any collateral noise (say a crowdy Starbucks).
Hope this helped, if you have further questions just shoot us an email to support@touchmic.com
I’ve a brand new 2g touch and obviously want to use it to make calls. will the TouchMic Handsfree Lapel Microphone & Adapter work with fring?
I can’t use earbuds, so adapter approcah seems the most suitable.
I want to record voice onto iTouch 2nd generation. Is the Maximo headset with mic right for this? Do I need to download an app. for it to work, or just plug it in and go?
Many thanks,
and how do i tell if mines is first generation or second generation? because i want to get a microphone i can use for skype the one i saw that i posted in my first comment, it said it is only for 2nd generation is there any one on this site, that works with the 1st generation ipod touch that i can use for skype?
As long as you have a 2nd Gen Touch the Maximo headset would work just fine, you would just plug it in and then run a recording app (like Voxie) from the App Store that uses a microphone.
Does the MityMic work with Shazam on the 2nd Gen Itouch? I am now using firmware 3.0. I don’t think I saw that mentioned in the product description. Thanks!
What’s the best option for recording interviews or such for podcasting purposes? Would that be the MityMic? And if so - do I have to jailbreak the ipod touch 2G to use it? Also I need voice recording software to record yes? Will MityMic work with VR+ voice recording software? What else do I need? (which OS for the 2G touch? and also I need firmware?? - I’m new to the touch)
Our best mic which is built for interviews/podcasting is the MityMic. As long as you have a 2G iPod Touch no jailbreak or modification of any kind are necessary. You simply open the package and plug in the mic. The mic will work with the Voice Memos app that came with 3.0 firmware, as well it will record with any other application that requires a mic to be plugged in for recording. For example: HT Recorder, Voxie Pro Recorder… ect..
I see that the onboard button on the TouchMic iPod Touch Lapel Mic can stop/play music. Can it also move to the next track and previous track with two or three clicks like the remote on the Apple headset?
I prefer a headset as compared to using earbuds. I find the a eadset speaker more comfortable than an earbud in the ear. Do you have a headset type of unit with a mic arm that holds the mic closer to the front of the face?
Hi, I’m looking at the lapel mic for my Ipod Touch 2G.. Basically what I am hoping to acomplish is to make notes and observations as I am out photographing. This seems like an ideal solution. Does the button on the lapel allow starting and stopping of recording, or would I still need to do that from the ipod itself, or is this more of a software type of thing.
The TouchMic Lapel Mic would work well for recording in your situation as it has an un-intrusive little lapel clip, however the button on this mic does not stop/start recording, but rather is there for music and voice control. You would need to start/stop recording on the ipod itself, unless someone came up with recording software that enabled the buttons while the recording app was active. The good thing about the lapel mic in your situation is that you would not need to have headphones plugged in for it to work.
I just got a Touch ( 2nd Gen ) with version 3.1.2 installed. Did Apple fix the previous problems re: mics with this release. Will ALL your products work with this setup?
Thanx
Is there an adapter to go between touch and 3rd party Mic?
I want to use a quality lavier(clipped to actors shirt) mic with my G2 touch for recording quality audio. but cant find anything that will let me connect it to my itouch.
(If I plug my mic 3/4s way in,I can get an audio connection but its got terrible niose)
All of our products will work with the latest firmware on iPod Touch 2G and 3G. We will no longer be selling the iVoice series and those products will be taken down with our new site launch next month.
We are working on such an adapter and hope to have it available within the next month or so. If you want to sign up to be eligible as a tester you can get it for free.
Just go to our homepage and enter your email to keep updated. (don’t worry we don’t send a lot of email, just an update here and there).
Hello, while you can use the MityMic with Skype, we would recommend using our Lapel Mic instead. However, even in our tests with MityMic the feedback was not much of an issue.
hello, im a iphone 3gs owner looking for stereo line in solution, was wondering if ivoicepro would work on 3gs with voxie? and can i ask why you wont be selling the ivoice series ? will it be replaced with another product with similar ability ?
Will the MityMic work with the new 3rd gen ipod touches (i.e., 64gig). Also can I still hear my iPod thru its speaker while this mic is plugged in the jack?
Hi, the iVoice series mics have been discontinued by Macally. We are working on some adapters and cables that will allow you to place stereo LINE IN via the 3.5mm jack on 2G and 3G iPod Touch. Just enter your email address on our Homepage to be updated on when new products release. CHEERS! - TouchMic
The MityMic will work just fine with iPod Touch 3G. With most apps you will have to remove the MityMic in order to hear the sound. However, some apps (like Skype) allow you toggle between the onboard speakers even when a mic is plugged in. So in the end it’s really a software issue.
I just bought one of those flip, pocket video camera–the Kodak one that has a 3.5mm mic jack. Would the MityMic work for something like that? I would like to buy this and have it be useful for both.
HI, we would not recommend the iVoice Mics for your 2nd or 3rd Gen iPod Touches. Our MityMic would be a good choice for Shazam or Evernote. If you need to listen to your music through headphones while recording then we would suggest the TouchMic Lapel Mic.
I want to play iTouch 3G music via dock connector through USB to my Alpine car stereo. I want to have your mic listen to the music and have SoundHound/Shazam work at the same time. Can it be done?
I may have missed this, but…does the MityMic work for other sound apps for the 2nd Gen iPod Touch? I would like to use my 2nd Gen iPod Touch to tune musical instruments (there are apps for that) in addition to the voice/podcast capabilities.
Hello, I know the Mitymic will work with the Touch 3G and I was wondering theres an application called Midomi Sound Hound in which you go into the application and place the touch by a speaker playing a song you don’t know the title and the app. tells you the name of the song. Now, I don’t know if the 3G touch comes with an internal microphone or not, but this app. is exclusive to the I phone which has a microphone built in especially for that app. called Sound Hound. Now Apple offers a headset w/ a microphone built in but there $79.00 and they don’t stay in my ears. Please tell me you have a solution to my dilemma. Thanks for your time and effort towards this request.
Hi,
I recently got a 64gb 3rd gen touch, and i was wondering if i could use your handfree lapel mic + my good pair of headphones to completly replace the apple mic+headphone combo ?
I mean is the lapel mic completly compatible with voice control ?
Sorry for the late reply, often for questions it is much quicker to email us, as we update our message board once or twice a week.
The MityMic will work with Midomi and Shazam for the iPod Touch. If you are looking for a simple solution to add a mic onto the wire of any preferred headset you own, you can just go with our TouchMic Handsfree Lapel and Mic. Just click “Browse Products” above and navigate to the lapel mic for more info.
Yes, the handsfree lapel mic combo would add a mic onto your favorite “mic-less” headphones. The controls on the lapel mic are compatible with voice control (just hold down the button for more than 3 seconds on the lapel mic to activate).
hello, i have an ipod touch 1st gen with os 3.o.. i have read above that you said i can use a mic only if the connector is for the dock not the audio.. do you know where i could possibly find a mic with a usb dock connector?
Hi
I was wondering, which products you recommend for Ipod Touch 8 gb 3rd generation. I need headphones with a mic so which ones will be the best for me
All of our mics will work Paul, but perhaps you can email us at support@touchmic.com and tell us a bit more about how you will be mostly using your mic, then we can make a suggestion.
Recording:
I believe that I have a 2nd Gen Late 2009,I-touch.
I am interested in recording Music. What Mic and App would you recommend?
also what would I need to skype
We would recommend the MityMic for recording music, it will work with Skype too, but the person on the other end will need to be heard through the onboard iPod Touch Speaker instead of any headset (since this is where the MityMic plugs in). We would recommend Voxie or HT Recorder for recording apps.
I’m very impressed by the mitymic recording quality. However, I can hear an annoying periodic noise with my ipod touch 2nd generation when Wifi is ON while recording.
If it’s happening to you, turning Wifi off during record solve it
Hello, I have a 1g Ipod Touch running OS 3.0. I have installed Skype as I will be travelling abroad in the near future, and I do not want to pay outrageous fees for calling back to the U.S. However, because the Ipod Touch does not have a microphone, I am desperately in need of one. I have read that the IVoiceIII Pro works with software 2.2.1, but I have upgraded. Please point me in the right direction.
-Christine
I’d like to use this with an iPad in my car. I am currently using a dual purpose dock cable with a USB connection for charging and another connection for audio input to my stereo.
I saw the comment about the mic disabling the internal speaker but do you know if audio out from the dock will still be active if the MityMic is connected? I’d like to use it to improve VOIP calls.
I have a 2nd generation iTouch 8GB with iOS4. Elsewhere I purchased a headset with a mic and it does not work. Is there a mic you provide that will work for me?
If you have little volume buttons along the left hand side of your Touch then it is 2nd Gen (or 3rd) and all headset/mic combos should work, as well as all of the products we have for sale here at TouchMic.com. If you need further answers please just email us at Support@TouchMic.com.
Unfortunately at this point you would need to revert back to 2.2.1 (which we no longer recommend as you would lose the ability to run many modern apps). We would advise to purchase a used iPod Touch or wait until the next gen iPod comes out.
The MityMic will work with iPad and it will improve the quality of the built in mic in terms of blocking out ambient noise and only recording in the direction you point the mic into, as it is a unidirectional mic as opposed to the “catch-all” omni built in mic.
Of course. Just have a look at our Guarantee Page and Terms. We are more than happy to do returns an exchanges and have a no hassle 30-day money back guarantee!
Hi. I have an iPod Touch 2G and recently upgraded the OS. Does the MittyMic work on all such upgrades? Also, does the microphone work on non-Apple products (e.g. a Kodak digital camcorder)? Thanks.
Hi, I am currently using iPod Touch 1g with firmware version of 3.1.3. Will I be able to use skype with Macally iVoice III or Macally iVoice Pro? In addition, since I see that those products are now sold out, is there any way I can get it elsewhere or be shipped to my place? I live in California.
You can try Amazon or Ebay to see if you can track down an iVoice Mic. If you look a couple of posts down, another poster outlined how he gets his iVoice III to work with 1G touch.
1.) Yes MityMic works with all versions of iPod Touch aside from 1G, and all OS.
2.) The format output will depend on the recording app you use (there are many). Often you get .aiff or .wav output.
3.) Again this is a fuction of the app you are using, but most have a way to log in to your Touch through a local network via IP address, then you just download the files you need.

Hi Michael,
The iVoice III will record a normal conversational voice in an otherwise quiet room from up to 10-12 feet away, so yes the iVoice III would work, however it only records in mono (which is still OK for voice), as opposed to the iVoice PRO which records in stereo. All in all, we have tested it using the voice recording application Voxie in a simulated “office meeting” and the end result was a clear and fully audible recording of our simulated conversation.

Do 1st gen ipod touch mics work with software version 2.2.1 ?
Hi Abhi, Yes 1st gen mics work with software version 2.2.1.
Do you think the quality of sound delivered by the iVoiceIII or iVoicePro would be good enough to record field interviews for inclusion in podcasts? I would only need mono recording, because I this helps keep the file size down, but do want good sound quality so that audio files sound professional when posted as a podcast.
Hi Brendon,
Yes the quality is good enough for podcasts when using either the iVoice III or iVoicePro.

Thanks.
Hi There,
Yes, the MityMic would be your best bet. It will be available again in 7-10 days for purchase.
Cheers!
Hi there,
What kind of connector does the Lapel mic use? Is it through the wide dock connector, or the headphone connector?
THanks
Hello Adam,
The Lapel Mic connects through the 3.5mm audio jack.
Thanks!

Hi, i would like to know if you guys ship this mic to use in a 1gen ipod touch to Italy?
Hello John,
We ship to all European destinations. There is a flat fee of $15 USD for this shipping.
Cheers!
I wanted to know, if I get a Macally iVoice III for my 1st gen Touch, is there any voice recording software I can buy in the app store that will install?
Hi Rachel,
Yes, Voxie Pro Voice Recording software works great on the 1G Touch with the Macally Mic. You can read more about that here.
We think Voxie is the best recording app out there, 1st or 2nd gen.
Best! -TouchMic.com
I’m sorry—in my previous message I used the name of your company instead of the name of the product I was asking about. It is the HandsFree Lapel Microphone and Adapter. Does the volume control change the volume coming out of the iPod, or does it control a variable resistor within the lapel mic unit?
Thanks!
Hi There,
The volume control is a variable resistor within the lapel mic unit. It does not change the volume on the actual Touch.
Hope that helps!

Hi!
Does the Maximo Isolation Headset w/Microphone come with an individual lapel microphone? Or is the microphone a part of the unit? Thanks a billion!
Hello,
The mic is built in onto the wire, if you look closely at the pictures of the product, the mic is the little “ball” that is located on the wire.

Hello Joan,
We would recommend 2 options for you:
1. The TouchMic iPod Touch Lapel Mic - This mic/adapter combo basically adds a quality microphone to any headset you already may be using, or prefer. So if you have a headset that you really like already, simply use this adapter to add a mic to the wire and you will be all set.

Hi There,
Regarding your TouchMic.com post/question.
If your touch has volume buttons on the left hand side it is 2nd Gen, if not it is 1st Gen.
The only first gen mic we have in stock is the iVoiceIII, you can check it out on our site under “1st Gen mics”.
Hope that helped!

Hi Carolyn,
Our best mic which is built for interviews/podcasting is the MityMic. As long as you have a 2G iPod Touch no jailbreak or modification of any kind are necessary. You simply open the package and plug in the mic. The mic will work with the Voice Memos app that came with 3.0 firmware, as well it will record with any other application that requires a mic to be plugged in for recording. The MityMic will work just fine with iPod Touch 3G. With most apps you will have to remove the MityMic in order to hear the sound. However, some apps (like Skype) allow you toggle between the onboard speakers even when a mic is plugged in. So in the end it’s really a software issue.
Hope this helps.

I just bought one of those flip, pocket video camera–the Kodak one that has a 3.5mm mic jack. Would the MityMic work for something like that? I would like to buy this and have it be useful for both.
Hi,
Does the TouchMic Handsfree Lapel Microphone & Adapter work with the ipod touch 3g 8gb.
Thanks
Does the Macally iVoice Pro work with Shazam? And if not, which mics could I use for Shazam[RED] and Evernote?
Hello Zach, yes the TouchMic Handsfree Lapel Microphone & Adapter does work with iPod Touch 3G 8GB, as well as the 32 and 64GB versions.
HI, we would not recommend the iVoice Mics for your 2nd or 3rd Gen iPod Touches. Our MityMic would be a good choice for Shazam or Evernote. If you need to listen to your music through headphones while recording then we would suggest the TouchMic Lapel Mic.
Cheers!
I want to play iTouch 3G music via dock connector through USB to my Alpine car stereo. I want to have your mic listen to the music and have SoundHound/Shazam work at the same time. Can it be done?
Does the TouchMic Lapel Mic work with the 5th Generation Ipod Nano?
Hi, i have a ipod touch of 8 GB, i want to buy a mic to use with skype, i need to do something like unblock the ipod touch or something like that?
I may have missed this, but…does the MityMic work for other sound apps for the 2nd Gen iPod Touch? I would like to use my 2nd Gen iPod Touch to tune musical instruments (there are apps for that) in addition to the voice/podcast capabilities.
Happy New Year!
Is there any mics that work with iPod Touch 1G running firmware 3.1.2?
Hi,
I recently got a 64gb 3rd gen touch, and i was wondering if i could use your handfree lapel mic + my good pair of headphones to completly replace the apple mic+headphone combo ?
I mean is the lapel mic completly compatible with voice control ?
Thanks !
Hi Scott,
Sorry for the late reply, often for questions it is much quicker to email us, as we update our message board once or twice a week.
Cheers!

Happy New Year!
Yes the MityMic will work will all sound/recording apps for the iPod Touch 2G and 3G.
Cheers!
As long as your iPod Touch is 2G or 3G you do not need to do any jailbreaking or unlocking of any sort!

Yes, The Touchmic does work with 5th Gen Nano!!
Hi David,
This is really dependent on your hardware setup. A good way to test whether the mic would work is by doing this:
1. Plug in your Touch via the dock into your car stereo.
2. Plug in a headset into the 3.5mm jack.
If you still hear music over your car speakers, even when a headset is plugged in, then our mics would work at the same time.
Best,
-TouchMic.com
At this point we would not recommend any mics for 1st Gen Touch coupled with any firmware 3.0 and up.
Best,

Hi David,
Yes, the handsfree lapel mic combo would add a mic onto your favorite “mic-less” headphones. The controls on the lapel mic are compatible with voice control (just hold down the button for more than 3 seconds on the lapel mic to activate).
Best!

What would be the best mic to use for recording singing and instruments? Also, do you recommend any apps for mixing multiple tracks?
hello, i have an ipod touch 1st gen with os 3.o.. i have read above that you said i can use a mic only if the connector is for the dock not the audio.. do you know where i could possibly find a mic with a usb dock connector?
I have a 3g 8 gb ipod touch.Do microphones work with this??
Hi
I was wondering, which products you recommend for Ipod Touch 8 gb 3rd generation. I need headphones with a mic so which ones will be the best for me
Do you ship to India? Mumbai, specifically? What are the charges in that case?
Hi Peter,
We would recommend the MityMic. As far as mixing multiple tracks, many of our customers seem to like the “4-track” app.
Best,
-TouchMic
Hi there, unfortunately no mics which connect through the dock will work when you have OS 3.0, or above.
Best,
-TouchMic
Hi John, yes all of our mics will work with the 8GIG 3GS iPod Touch.
Best,
-TouchMic
All of our mics will work Paul, but perhaps you can email us at support@touchmic.com and tell us a bit more about how you will be mostly using your mic, then we can make a suggestion.
Best,
-TouchMic
Hi Arkid,
We do ship to India, and you can select your country and address when checking out. Shipping to India is $25 and calculated at checkout.

My new 32GB iPod has a Voice Memo program built in. Does that program recognize your MityMic??
Recording:
I believe that I have a 2nd Gen Late 2009,I-touch.
I am interested in recording Music. What Mic and App would you recommend?
also what would I need to skype
Hi Max, yes the MityMic is recognized by the Voice Memo program. Cheers!
My iPod is 2g, will the micrephone with ear piece work with my ipod
Hi Syd,
We would recommend the MityMic for recording music, it will work with Skype too, but the person on the other end will need to be heard through the onboard iPod Touch Speaker instead of any headset (since this is where the MityMic plugs in). We would recommend Voxie or HT Recorder for recording apps.
Cheers!
Hi Triddle,
Yes all our mics work on iPod 2G and 3G. All Gig size versions (8,32,64).
Cheers!
Hello!
Does the “TouchMic MityMic” microphone work with the 4th Generation Ipod Nano?
Thanks!!
Hi, yes the MityMic will work on the new nanos!
-Cheers!
my question is What if i bought an item but want to return it , is that possible?
I’m very impressed by the mitymic recording quality. However, I can hear an annoying periodic noise with my ipod touch 2nd generation when Wifi is ON while recording.
If it’s happening to you, turning Wifi off during record solve it
Is this product compatible with the ipad? Does it improve over the built in microphone?
Hello, I have a 1g Ipod Touch running OS 3.0. I have installed Skype as I will be travelling abroad in the near future, and I do not want to pay outrageous fees for calling back to the U.S. However, because the Ipod Touch does not have a microphone, I am desperately in need of one. I have read that the IVoiceIII Pro works with software 2.2.1, but I have upgraded. Please point me in the right direction.
-Christine
Hi,
I’d like to use this with an iPad in my car.
Thanks, Andre
I have a 2nd generation iTouch 8GB with iOS4. Elsewhere I purchased a headset with a mic and it does not work. Is there a mic you provide that will work for me?
Hi Jonathan,
If you have little volume buttons along the left hand side of your Touch then it is 2nd Gen (or 3rd) and all headset/mic combos should work, as well as all of the products we have for sale here at TouchMic.com. If you need further answers please just email us at Support@TouchMic.com.
Cheers!
Hi Andre,
The Audio out should still be active if it is coming from the Dock.
Cheers!
Hi Christine,
Unfortunately at this point you would need to revert back to 2.2.1 (which we no longer recommend as you would lose the ability to run many modern apps). We would advise to purchase a used iPod Touch or wait until the next gen iPod comes out.
Cheers!
Hello Michael,
The MityMic will work with iPad and it will improve the quality of the built in mic in terms of blocking out ambient noise and only recording in the direction you point the mic into, as it is a unidirectional mic as opposed to the “catch-all” omni built in mic.
Cheers!
Hi Bayou,
Thanks for your comment. Yes, you must turn off WiFi to get the best possible recording quality and to minimize any interference.
Best,
-TouchMic

What mic would you recommend for use with the Glee singing app, Shazam and Skype on a 3G iPod touch? Thanks!
Three questions:
1) Does the Mity Mic work well on an iPod Touch 3G (32 gig) with iOS 4 installed?
2) What is the format (wav, mp3, etc.) of the recorded files (I expect to be recording bagpipe music)?
3) How are these files transferred to a computer?
Thanks in advance. I like what I’ve learned so far.
Kirk
Hi Stephanie,
Our Lapel Mic would be your best choice.
Hi Thomas,
The MityMic will work with the upgraded OS on both 2nd and 3rd Gen Touches. It will likely not work with the Kodak camcorder.
Best,
-TouchMic
Hi Danny,
You can try Amazon or Ebay to see if you can track down an iVoice Mic. If you look a couple of posts down, another poster outlined how he gets his iVoice III to work with 1G touch.
Best,
-TouchMic.com
Hi Kirk,
1.) Yes MityMic works with all versions of iPod Touch aside from 1G, and all OS.
2.) The format output will depend on the recording app you use (there are many). Often you get .aiff or .wav output.
3.) Again this is a fuction of the app you are using, but most have a way to log in to your Touch through a local network via IP address, then you just download the files you need.
Hope that helped!
Will it work with the new multitouch iPod NANO (announced today)? I’m depending on this to get the new little bastard. Thanks.
Hi - yes our ipod nano microphone (all of our mics) are fully compatible with the new Touch iPod Nano.
